Scottish Housing Regulator (SHR)

We are regulated by the SHR who are the independent regulator of Registered Social Landlord and Local Authority housing services in Scotland. Their statutory objective is to safeguard and promote the interests of current and future tenants, people who are homeless, factored owners and Gypsy/Travellers.

Regulatory Framework

As part of the SHR Regulatory Framework, we are required to submit information about our performance and governance to the SHR on an annual basis. Two key submissions are the Annual Return on the Charter (ARC) and our Annual Assurance Statement.

Please visit our Information Library to access key documents such as our Annual Assurance Statement, Landlord Report from our Annual Return on the Charter, and our 2025/26 Engagement Plan. You can access further information on the SHR  website.

Complaints and serious concerns

Information for tenants and service users of social landlords

The SHR website has a dedicated area with information for social housing tenants, people who are homeless, factored owners and Gypsy/Travellers.

If you have a complaint or serious concern about RCHA you can find further guidance on their website or download the guidance here. A hard copy can also be obtained from our Reception.
